Anna Nedlin

Anna has taught the foundations of French language at the University of Arizona for the past seven years. She has also advised incoming freshmen during summer orientation and served on the College of Humanities Scholarship Committee.

Anna, originally from Kraków, Poland, earned her BA in teaching French as a second language from the Foreign Language Teacher Training College in Wrocław, Poland, her MA in French Literature at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and her MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design in New York. Before moving to Arizona in December 2018, Anna worked for the New York City Council, freelanced for the International Labour Organization, art directed at a New York ad agency, and taught French for eight years in Colorado (at 7,908 feet above sea level).

In her free time Anna takes photographs, runs long distances, and for the past two years has been involved in environmental activism to protect mountain watershed forest, EU-protected Molinia meadows and the habitats of the corncrake and the red-backed shrike in Bysina, Poland, at both national and EU level.
