DeAnna Daniels

DeAnna Monique Daniels is Assistant Professor of Africana and Religious Studies at the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on Black religion, gender and sexuality, Black speculative fiction, horror theory/film, monster studies, and popular and visual culture. Her scholarship also engages critical theory, disability theory, Black studies, and cultural studies. She is currently working on her first book manuscript, which will examine the manifold intersections of religion, culture, and identity, with particular attention to questions of race, gender, sexuality, disability, and representation as exemplified in speculative cultural productions.
