Jasmine Linabary

Jasmine R. Linabary (Ph.D., Purdue University) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public & Applied Humanities and director of the Co-Design Collaborative (Co-Lab) at the University of Arizona. Her work explores how we design for participation — who gets to participate, in what ways, and to what effect? Her research and teaching interests fall at the intersections of organizational communication, new media studies, and feminist and participatory methodologies. As a publicly engaged scholar and teacher, she works alongside students, organizations, and communities on projects that span disciplinary boundaries to reimagine how we organize and make progress on critical social challenges (e.g., gender equity, food insecurity). She is a member of the University of Arizona Basic Needs Coalition, committed to connecting students to resources that support their success. As part of that effort, she currently leads research and outreach efforts related to food insecurity and other basic needs issues among college students on and beyond the UA campus.
